Terms of Service

1. Operator

These Terms govern your use of rhizome.toys and its products, including Lifepath. Operated by RHIZOME B.V., Netherlands (CCI: 93723849, VAT: NL866504448B01), Saturnusstraat 95, 2516AG 's-Gravenhage. These Terms are available at rhizome.toys/tos and may be saved or printed for your records.

2. Service

AI-powered interactive fiction. Content is algorithmically generated using AI models and is not human-reviewed. For entertainment only. Does not constitute personal, financial, medical, or legal advice.

3. Accounts

Google Sign-In. Minimum age 16 in the European Economic Area, or 13 outside the EEA. One account per person.

4. Tokens

Virtual currency. Non-transferable, no cash value. 50 tokens per chapter. 300 tokens on signup. No expiry. The real-world cost depends on the token package purchased; current prices are displayed in USD at the point of purchase.

5. Purchases & Refunds

Processed by Stripe (payment processor). Before purchase, you will see the number of tokens, price in USD, and seller identity. Auto-refund for failed generation. EU consumers who have not waived their right of withdrawal may request a refund within 14 days for unspent tokens. Refund requests: aleksei@rhi.toys.

6. Right of Withdrawal

Under EU law, you have 14 days to withdraw from a digital content purchase. Because tokens give immediate access to AI-generated content, you will be asked to expressly consent to immediate delivery and acknowledge that you waive your withdrawal right before each purchase. If you do not consent, you retain the 14-day right.

7. AI Content

All content is AI-generated and may contain mature themes. RHIZOME B.V. does not endorse or accept liability for AI-generated content.

8. Content Moderation

All content is AI-generated. AI providers apply safety filters. We do not apply human editorial review prior to generation. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms. Users affected by content moderation decisions may appeal by contacting aleksei@rhi.toys.

9. Your Content

Text you enter is processed by AI and stored encrypted in your session. Not shared publicly unless you use Share.

10. Intellectual Property

Stories you create are yours to share. Platform, code, and templates belong to RHIZOME B.V.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts for material breach of these Terms. Upon termination for cause, unused tokens purchased within the preceding 14 days will be refunded. Free tokens (signup bonus, promotions) are forfeited.

12. Liability

We provide the service with reasonable care. For paid features, the service will conform to its description. Our liability is limited to the amount you paid in the preceding 12 months. This does not apply to damages caused by willful misconduct or gross negligence, or to liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

13. Reporting Illegal Content

If you believe content on Lifepath is illegal, report it to aleksei@rhi.toys. We will review reports promptly and inform you of our decision.

14. Complaints

If you have a complaint about the service or a purchase, contact aleksei@rhi.toys. We will acknowledge within 48 hours and aim to resolve within 14 days.

15. Changes

We may update these Terms. We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notice at least 30 days before they take effect. If you disagree, you may close your account before the changes take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

Netherlands. Courts of The Hague.
